e3 Classroom Technology Announces e3 Resource Center Pilot Program
ELLINGTON, Connecticut (August 9, 2009) - e3 Classroom Technology announced a pilot program featuring the e3 Resource Center classroom learning device in select High School classrooms. "We are excited to partner with forward-thinking school districts to pilot the e3 Resource Center (e3RC)," said Gary Hamilton, Vice President of Business Development at e3 Classroom Technology. "By providing schools with pilot e3RC units, we can provide schools with a cost effective and efficient method for electronic document exchange."
e3 Classroom Technology is offering school districts the opportunity to test e3 units in a limited number of classrooms for a reduced rate. By giving schools a low-risk way of evaluating the paper-saving e3RC, the company hopes to encourage wide adaptation of their device for maximum environmental impact.
The e3RC is a device about the size of two stacked textbooks, with 24 USB ports. Each student user is given a USB flash drive that is used for document exchange. Each day at the beginning of class, each student plugs their USB flash drive into the e3RC, and files are automatically transferred between the student and teacher. The e3RC allows students to submit homework and receive assignments without using printed handouts, which are expensive and environmentally damaging.
e3 Classroom Technology develops educational technology products with a focus on facilitating new learning methods, extending technology into the classroom, and helping schools control printing and copying costs while encouraging sustainable practices.
